Giving at PTS

Giving and generosity are at the heart of our faith, and of Peninsula Temple Sholom.

Explore our Web site to learn how to contribute to the current programming and long-term future of our congregation through Endowment Giving and our Capital Campaign. Young people can learn how to give to their community through B'nai Mitzvah projects. Commemorate a special occasion through our Tree of Life, and remember a loved one with a Memorial Plaque. Share your simcha by sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat, or contribute directly to one of the PTS general or special funds.

How to Give

Peninsula Temple Sholom relies on contributions from congregants to support many on-going projects of the synagogue that are not otherwise funded by our annual budget. Thank you very much for your generosity.

For donations, you can download our giving form. For more information, contact Amy Mallor, Executive Director, at amallor@sholom.org or (650) 697-2266.

Support PTS with eScrip

There's an easy way to raise dollars for PTS - and it won't cost you a dime! Register your credit cards with eScrip, and PTS earns every time you shop, courtesy of dozens of local participating merchants. Depending on where and how you shop, as much as 10% of the amount of your purchase can be credited to PTS!

Major participating merchants include Andronico's Market, Lundardi's Markets, Pak 'n Save and Safeway, Mollie Stone's, Lullaby Lane, Whole Foods Market, Trag's Market, Round Table Pizza, Lullaby Lane, Macy's, American Airlines, and many more! You can also shop online at the eScrip Online Mall, which has hundreds of brand-name merchants.

How do you sign up? It's fast, easy, and totally free. Just visit eScrip.com, and click the link for Members/Supporters.

After you create your free account with eScrip, indicate that you'd like to support Peninsula Temple Sholom (group code 136556178). (If you also register your kids' schools, eScrip will automatically split the donation between your schools and PTS.)

Thank you for your support!

Clergy Gifts

Many congregants ask about giving gifts to the clergy to thank them for participating in their bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, baby naming or other special occasion. If you would like to present a gift, Rabbi Feder, Rabbi Ettlinger and Cantor Reich would very much appreciate your making a generous donation in their honor to a PTS fund.

The most common funds for these gifts are listed below, however you can direct your generosity to any Temple fund (click here for a list).

1. Rabbis’ Discretionary Fund
2.
Cantor’s Music & Technology Fund
3.
General Fund (to be used where most needed)
