More About Sholom Women

Sholom Women is the organization of the women of Peninsula Temple Sholom. We band together in friendship for programs to benefit PTS and the community, for social activities, study, prayer, and for personal and Jewish growth.

Why Sholom Women?
Sholom Women is the collective presence, voice and strength of women. It is the place where women can meet and work together for the benefit of PTS.

Why do you need Sholom Women?
Sholom Women provides a collective identity for the women of PTS. Sholom Women also provides an outlet for the creative energy, talent, and leadership potential for the individual Jewish woman. Sholom Women also gives us a worldwide identity through our affiliation with the Women of Reform Judaism, a federation of more than 600 Sisterhoods with 100,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and overseas.

What does Sholom Women do?
Sholom Women can do whatever we feel would be valuable to our families, PTS, our community, and ourselves. We accomplish all this and more through collection of dues, profits from the Starr*Stevens Judaica Shop, the Annual Donor Events, special fundraisers and contributions.

Sholom Women is the catalyst to find friendship and education, and to give service to PTS and the community. Together We Can Make It Happen! Together We Can Make A Difference!
