Rabbi Lisa Delson joined PTS in the summer of 2014. She serves our community through teaching all ages about the joy and relevancy of Jewish life, providing pastoral care and spiritual guidance.
Since moving to the Bay Area, Rabbi Delson has been nominated to serve on the Pacific Area Reform Rabbis board and the Rabbinic Advisory Committee of Shalom Bayit: Ending Domestic Violence in Jewish Homes.
Prior to coming to PTS, Rabbi Delson served as Assistant Rabbi and Program Director at Temple Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for five years. Before that she was ordained by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati in 2009.
During her time at HUC-JIR, Rabbi Delson co-authored the first ever web-based Rabbinic Capstone entitled “Thinking Outside of the Tzedakah Box: A Resource on Fundraising and Philanthropy for Rabbis and Jewish Professionals.”
While in Rabbinical school, Rabbi Delson deepened her study and commitment to social action by serving as a member of the Commission on Social Action at the RAC (Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism) in Washington, D.C. She also participated in the American Jewish World Service‘s Rabbinic Student Delegation to Ghana in 2008.
Rabbi Delson and her husband, Brent Pliskow, have a son named Micah.
