Clergy Gifts
Many congregants ask about giving gifts to the clergy to thank them for participating in their bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, baby naming or other special occasion. If you would like to present a gift, Rabbi Feder and Cantor Reich would very much appreciate your making a generous donation in their honor to a PTS fund.
The most common funds for these gifts are listed below, however you can direct your generosity to any Temple fund (click here for a list).
1. Rabbis’ Discretionary Fund 2. Cantor’s Music & Technology Fund 3. General Fund (to be used where most needed)
In Memoriam
Rabbi Gerald Raiskin, z’’l, was the founding Rabbi of Peninsula Temple Sholom. Born in 1926, Rabbi Raiskin moved from New York City to Burlingame in 1956. Previously, he had been an assistant rabbi at the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue in Manhattan.
Rabbi Raiskin passed away on April 17, 2006, only a few months before he was to retire after 50 years at PTS. May his memory be an inspiration and a blessing to all who knew him.
