Aug. 28, 2011
Camp Sholom ended a fun eight-week run in August and now our school is being readied for its 30th year, when more than 150 children fill our hallways and classrooms with joy. This month we will welcome a new class of 48 two-year-olds, and will marvel at the growth over the summer of our returning three-, four- and five-year-olds.
I am excited to begin my first year as Director of PTS's Preschool. As it is said in the Talmud, "learning is achieved only in company," and for the past 16 years I have been fortunate to learn from the best of company.
With Bobbie Goldstein at the helm, I began my journey at PTS as a teacher and continued my path with Cindy Common as her Assistant Director for the past nine years. I am both excited and honored to continue the legacy laid before me by these incredible women.
I anticipate a year of growth, learning, exciting challenges, new opportunities and wonderful Jewish experiences.
As the halls are filled with joyous children, we are excited about our Fall Fundraiser. Watch for more details in next month's Bulletin and on the Temple's website.
