Mar. 3, 2011
March brings a flurry of springtime activities here at preschool.
Preschoolers will learn about and celebrate the festive Purim holiday, creating their own masks, crowns, and groggers, delivering shalach manot baskets to their families and friends, and parading through the school in costume. Teachers and children will transform into regal kings and queens, nobel Mordechais, and evil Hamans! To top off our Purim celebration, preschoolers will also be treated to the entertaining antics of Diana Shmiana as she performs her delightful production of "Megillah Madness."
March also brings our much loved tradition of Pizza with Mommy where preschoolers, moms, and teachers enjoy a pizza and salad dinner together in their classrooms, followed by an entertaining show by Magic Dan.
Registration for the 2011-12 preschool year, Camp Sholom, and our Parent/Toddler class is also well under way.
Session 1 of Camp Sholom runs from June 20 - July 15 and Session 2 runs from July 18 - August 12.
Registration forms and informational brochures are available on the temple's website or by calling the Preschool Office at 697-2279.
With birthdates of entering kindergarteners being changed (beginning with a Nov. 1 cutoff in 2012), remember to tell your friends and neighbors that we are very proud to offer a wonderful Transitional Kindergarten class for those children being given the gift of another year!
On Friday, March 11, we will hold our annual Preschool Bake Sale. Feel free to stop by between 9am and 12pm to pick up some delicious Shabbat desserts. We have some wonderful bakers among our preschool families!
