With the Fall season coming to a close and Chanukah just around the corner, there is much to report from the Preschool front. Our second annual Fall Harvest Fundraiser is in full swing, thanks to the efforts of our wonderful Preschool parents -- particularly those of our Preschool Advisory Committee members who have so diligently and enthusiastically spearheaded this wonderful event.
This committee, chaired by Lauren Schlezinger, includes Debbie Crisp and Heidi Schell (Preschool Parent Association Chairs), Sherri Jarrett, Leanne Lash, Ginger Roehrig, Jeannie Stern, Darci Rosenblum and Ida Gruber. Special thanks to Alex Galanter as well. I particularly appreciate the efforts of these very talented women.
Thank you to those who have supported us by purchasing raffle tickets.
Proceeds support the temple and Preschool by enabling us to purchase new outdoor and indoor playground equipment, children's special programming and musical instruments, just to name a few! I hope you won!!
Next up is our Talbot's Toyland Holiday Shopping Fund-raiser. When you shop at Talbot's, November 13- December 3, mention "PTS Preschool" and Talbot's will donate 10% of your total purchase back to us!
From November 12-16, stop by our Banana Seed Book Fair. Banana Seed always offers the best of children's Judaic and secular books serving preschoolers through middle school, as well as a selection of gifts and adult books. Proceeds benefit both the Preschool and Religious School.
On November 19 we will celebrate our annual Preschool Families Shabbat Dinner, followed by Tots 'n' Torah. It is truly wonderful to share this evening with all of our families, staff, and our awesome clergy.
In November, preschoolers will enjoy a fabulous and educational presentation by the Wildlife Center and, in December, they will make their own olive oil at our Olive Press Workshop. They will also celebrate Chanukah in story and song with parents and clergy, followed by fun celebrations in their classrooms with delicious latkes, applesauce, soufganiot, dreidels, and gelt!
In this season of Thanksgiving and Chanukah, all of us at Preschool pause to give thanks to all of our families in the Preschool and synagogue community, and to all of our clergy and staff members for all that you do and share with us.
We are all truly blessed. We wish all of you a joyful and filling Thanksgiving and Chanukah!
