Preschool Notes, March 2010, by Cindy Common

March and April are buzzing with activity at Preschool.

Registration for Camp Sholom, and for Preschool and Parent / Toddler for 2010-2011, are well underway.

Camp Sholom has two fourweek sessions: June 14 -July 9, and July 12-August 6. Hours are 9:30am-1:30pm, with the option of extended hours from 8:30-3:30.

Brochures and registration forms for all programs are posted on the Temple's website and available at the Preschool Office, or by calling the Preschool Office at 697-2279.

Highlights for the month of March include "Pizza With Mommy," a fun evening which includes dinner in the classrooms followed by entertainment by Magic Dan.

The very next week brings our school-wide Passover Celebrations.

All of our Preschoolers meet in the sanctuary with their families and our wonderful clergy to interactively relate the story of this holiday of freedom for the Jewish people through story and song. The morning culminates in the classrooms enjoying typical foods eaten for the Passover Seder. Children also experience making their very own matzah during the Matzah Workshop.

April brings Yom Ha'Atzmaut and our annual Israel Day celebration as we ready our passports, "fly" off to Israel and visit several wonderful Israeli cities. Each classroom offers a unique Israeli experience!

Wishing all of you a very happy and healthy Pesach!
